Crystal Saffron is built around saffron from Kozani in Greece. It opens with a bright, clean musk, then the saffron arrives in the heart: warm, dry and a little metallic, the way the spice smells in a kitchen. Ambroxan and incense close it out with a smooth, airy glow and a faint trace of smoke. Crystal Saffron by Matière Première is a perfume with a luminous, quiet mood. The musk and ambroxan keep the saffron light, so it reads as warm without being thick. It tends to suit evenings, cooler weather and anyone who likes spice in a clean, modern style. As an Eau de Parfum it has a fuller feel than a light cologne. Tester: the same fragrance and the same bottle, in the brand's own tester box. New, unused and unsprayed.
