Bois d'Ébène opens with crisp juniper berries before settling on smoky guaiac wood, the star of the blend. Cypriol and patchouli give the base a dark, earthy density, so the scent stays dry and woody from start to finish. Matière Première keeps this perfume simple and focused, built around a few strong raw materials. It feels calm, grown up and slightly smoky, good for cooler days, the office and evenings. It suits men and women who like their woods without sweetness. Aurélien Guichard, who founded the house, created it in 2019.
