Notes that work in the heat
- Citrus: lemon, lime, bergamot and orange. Bright, but they fade fastest, so spray again after lunch.
- Herbs and green notes: mint, basil, rosemary and cut grass. Cool and clean.
- Light woods and musk: cedar, vetiver and white musk keep a fresh scent on the skin for longer.
Heavy vanilla, oud and amber can feel thick at 40 degrees. Keep those for the winter shelf.
For the office
- Torino21 by Xerjoff: mint, lemon, basil and thyme, then black currant and lavender, drying to clean musk and vervain.
- Hespéridé Colognisé by Nishane: orange, bergamot and lime over a soft, woody base of musk, moss and vetiver.
- Pour Homme by Versace: lemon, bergamot and neroli with clary sage, over musk and tonka. A classic clean fougère.
For warm evenings outdoors
- Lime Sister by Les Liquides Imaginaires: a sharp burst of lime, lemon and blood orange, softened by mimosa and a little vanilla.
- Aqua Sapphire by Boadicea the Victorious: pineapple and davana with a splash of rum and saffron, over moss, amber and sandalwood. Fruity and gently warm.
