About this perfume
A Balm of Calm by Penhaligon's is a herbal, soothing perfume from the Potions & Remedies collection, launched in 2023. It opens with clary sage, lavender and cardamom, so the start is green, aromatic and lightly spiced. Iris, geranium and rum make the heart soft, powdery and a little warm. Sandalwood, vetiver and oak ground it with a smooth, woody dryness. The mood is quiet and settled, much as the name suggests. With lavender and sage at the front, it tends to suit evenings, winding down and cooler weather. It is a good choice if you like herbal scents with some softness. As an Eau de Parfum it has a fuller feel than a cologne. Tester: the same fragrance and the same bottle, in the brand's own tester box. New, unused and unsprayed.
