Nishane is an Istanbul perfume house founded by Mert Güzel and Murat Katran. Hacivat, one of its signature scents, is named after a character from Ottoman shadow theatre, and the X versions rework its best sellers. Most bottles here are extrait de parfum, and some come as testers. Every bottle is checked before it ships, with its batch code left readable. About Nishane
Nishane (نيشان) is a niche house based in Istanbul, founded by Mert Güzel and Murat Katran, who are its creative directors. The house treats perfume as storytelling. Its Shadow Play Trilogy is inspired by the Karagöz and Hacivat shadow play, and Collection Rumi by quotes from the poet Rumi.

Where to start at AZ & CO
Hacivat opens on pineapple, bergamot and grapefruit over patchouli, birch and vetiver. Hundred Silent Ways is softer: violet, iris, rose and jasmine. Fan Your Flames is the boozy one, with coconut, rum and tobacco. Most Nishane bottles here are extrait de parfum, a stronger concentration than eau de parfum.
Boxed or tester?

What is the difference between Hacivat and Hacivat X?
Hacivat X is the newer version the house made for its tenth anniversary. The pineapple and bergamot opening stays, lime and Tunisian orange blossom join the heart, and it finishes on Haitian vetiver, patchouli and cedar.
