About Dior
Christian Dior (ديور) opened his couture house at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris in December 1946. Miss Dior, its first perfume, came out in 1947, and J'adore followed in 1999. Since October 2021, Francis Kurkdjian has been the house's creative director of perfume.
The main lines, in plain words
- Sauvage: the men's line François Demachy composed in 2015. The Eau de Parfum followed in 2018 and the spicier Elixir in 2021.
- Miss Dior: the house's first perfume. The 2024 Parfum is Francis Kurkdjian's new reading of it, with apricot, peach and wild strawberry over patchouli and moss.
- J'adore: a fruity floral of pear, melon, jasmine, tuberose and rose.
- Fahrenheit and Dior Homme: the older men's classics. Fahrenheit, made since 1988, opens on lavender, nutmeg flower and citrus. Dior Homme Intense is a powdery iris over cedar and vetiver.

Sauvage or Sauvage Elixir for UAE weather?
Going by the notes, the Eau de Parfum is the lighter one: bergamot and Sichuan pepper over ambroxan and a little vanilla, and we file it under summer. The Elixir piles cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom onto lavender and dense woods, which points to cooler evenings.
