Gris Dior starts with fresh bergamot and moves into a clear rose. Underneath, oakmoss and patchouli give it an earthy, mossy depth, while cedar, sandalwood and amber keep the base smooth and warm. It smells refined rather than sweet. This is a polished, quiet perfume in the chypre style, which means citrus on top with moss and woods below. It is easy to wear for men and women alike, and it suits the office, cooler months and smart evenings. It was first called Gris Montaigne and was composed by François Demachy in 2017.
