About this perfume
Homme Intense opens with lavender, which is aromatic and a little sharp. Iris takes over in the heart and is the star of the scent. It smells soft, floral and powdery, a bit like fine cosmetic powder, with ambrette adding a gentle musky touch and a hint of pear for roundness. The base of Virginia cedar and vetiver dries the scent down into clean, dry wood. Homme Intense by Dior is a calm, polished perfume with a smooth, tailored mood. It is powdery rather than sweet, and the woods stop the iris from turning too floral. As an Eau de Parfum, it has a fuller body than a light cologne. It tends to suit evenings, cooler weather, the office and dressed up occasions, and anyone who likes iris with a dry, woody frame.
