About this perfume
Herod is a warm tobacco scent. It starts with cinnamon and a little pepper. The heart is dried tobacco leaf with smoky incense, resinous cistus and osmanthus, a flower with a soft apricot tone. It dries down to vanilla, musk and cedarwood, which make the tobacco feel smooth and slightly sweet rather than harsh. Herod by Parfums de Marly is a cosy, grown-up perfume with a calm mood. It tends to suit evenings and the cooler months from November to February, and people who enjoy spice, smoke and vanilla. Olivier Pescheux composed it, and the house released it in 2012.
