Orphéon is an homage to a Parisian piano bar of the 1960s, the one Diptyque's founders visited after hours. Juniper berry opens it cold and almost gin like. Jasmine and orris soften the heart into something dusty and close to the skin. Tonka bean and cedar sit underneath, dry and woody, and never turn sweet. Orphéon by Diptyque is a quiet, wearable perfume with a dry, powdery mood rather than a sweet one. It feels close and calm, more intimate than loud. As an Eau de Parfum, it tends to suit evenings, cooler weather and relaxed dinners, and it is a good fit for anyone who likes woody scents with a soft, dusty heart.
