About Amouage
Amouage (أمواج) was founded in the Sultanate of Oman in 1983 by the Albusaidi family, to be what the house calls "The Gift of Kings". Its manufacture and visitors' centre are in Muscat. Frankincense appears in many of its scents, including Interlude Man, Purpose and Guidance.

Where to start at AZ & CO
Interlude Man is the bold one: oregano and bergamot, then frankincense and amber, over agarwood smoke and leather. Reflection Man is cleaner, with rosemary, neroli and jasmine over vetiver and sandalwood. Guidance pairs pear and hazelnut with frankincense, saffron and rose. For tobacco, Opus XIV Royal Tobacco adds licorice and myrrh.
