About this perfume
Xi'an opens with black pepper and nutmeg, a dry, warm spice with a bright edge. The heart is rhubarb and cedar, which adds a tart, green note against clean wood. It settles into musk and sandalwood, soft and creamy, so the spice fades into a smooth, woody finish. Xi'an by Ormonde Jayne is an unusual perfume, spiced but not heavy, with a refined, dry character. The rhubarb gives it a sharp twist that most woody scents do not have.
