About this perfume
Rose Tonnerre is a dense, dark rose. It opens with rose, raspberry, honey and wine lees, with pink pepper and coriander adding spice. The heart is Turkish rose with violet, saffron, orris, geranium and a hint of truffle, which gives it an earthy, rich feel. Patchouli, musk, castoreum, vetiver, moss, sandalwood, cedar and vanilla form the base. Rose Tonnerre by Frédéric Malle is a rose perfume for people who find most roses too light. It smells deep, fruity and a little boozy, with spice and earth beneath the petals. With these notes, it tends to suit evenings, autumn and winter, and anyone who likes a bold rose.
