About this perfume
M7 Oud Absolu by Yves Saint Laurent opens with mandarin, a short burst of bright citrus. Patchouli forms the earthy heart. The base is dark and resinous, built from oud, myrrh and labdanum, and it carries most of the scent's character. This perfume is smoky, woody and warm, with a slightly medicinal oud edge that many people love. The mood is bold and grown up. As an Eau de Toilette with a rich resin base, it tends to suit evenings, cooler months and men who like oud and incense style scents. Yves Saint Laurent released it in this form in 2011 as part of La Collection, building on the original M7 from 2002.
