About this perfume
Layton opens with crisp apple and bergamot, sharpened by a pinch of cardamom. Lavender, violet and geranium follow, giving a soft, slightly powdery floral middle. The base is warm and creamy: vanilla and praline, with guaiac wood and patchouli keeping the sweetness in check. It reads polished and warm rather than sugary. Layton by Parfums de Marly is a confident, friendly perfume that is easy to wear well. It tends to suit evenings, dinners and the cooler months, and the fresh opening keeps it comfortable indoors the rest of the year. Hamid Merati-Kashani composed it, and the house released it in 2016. Tester: the same fragrance and the same bottle, in the brand's own tester box. New, unused and unsprayed.
