Haltane starts fresh and peppery, with bergamot and pink peppercorn. In the heart, lavender and clary sage sit beside saffron and a sweet touch of praline. The base is deep and dark: oud with patchouli, vetiver and leather. It moves from clean and aromatic to rich and woody as it dries down. Haltane by Parfums de Marly is a bold, polished perfume with a serious mood. It tends to suit evenings, formal events and the cooler months, and people who want an oud that still feels refined.
