About this perfume
Barénia opens with miracle berry and bergamot, a juicy, tart sweetness that feels bright and a little fruity. White ginger lily comes through in the heart, set over patchouli, oakwood and akigalawood. It starts cool and slightly mossy, then warms into something soft and buttery, close to the feel of suede. Barénia by Hermès is a chypre perfume created by Christine Nagel, and it was her first chypre for the house. It takes its name from the calf leather used in Hermès saddlery and handbags. With these notes, it tends to suit people who like a quiet, polished fragrance.
