Jean-Claude Ellena created Terre d'Hermès, and Christine Nagel, house perfumer since 2016, made Twilly and Barénia. Several bottles here come boxed or as a tester. About Hermès
Hermès (هيرميس) was founded in Paris in 1837 by Thierry Hermès as a saddle and harness workshop. Leather is still its core business. It is one of the few French luxury houses that keeps its own in-house perfumer and makes its fragrances itself, at Le Vaudreuil in Normandy.
The perfumers and lines, in plain words
- Jean-Claude Ellena was the house perfumer from 2004 to 2016. His Terre d'Hermès is a woody scent of orange, grapefruit, pepper and a mineral flint note over cedar and vetiver.
- Christine Nagel took over in 2016. She made Twilly d'Hermès, a spicy floral of ginger and tuberose, and Barénia, a chypre named after the calf leather Hermès uses for saddles and bags.
- The Jardin series is a line of garden-themed scents. Un Jardin sur la Lagune, by Christine Nagel, is a watery floral.
