Nishane Hacivat vs Hacivat X vs Creed Aventus: Which to Buy in the UAE? (2026)
By the AZ & CO teamPublished
Short answer: Pick Hacivat if you want the bright pineapple chypre with soft oakmoss and dry woods. Pick Hacivat X if you want the same pineapple start made greener and drier, with lime and vetiver. Pick Creed Aventus if you want the famous smoky pineapple with birch in the base. At AZ & CO, Hacivat and Hacivat X both cost AED 660 for 100ml extrait de parfum. Aventus costs AED 1,260 for 100ml boxed, or AED 1,090 as a tester.
Searches for Hacivat in the UAE have grown about six times this year, and "hacivat vs hacivat x" and "hacivat vs aventus" are among the first things people type. All three open with pineapple and bergamot, which is why they get compared. After that, each goes its own way. This page puts them side by side with our prices today, and adds the other Nishane bottles people compare with Hacivat: Ani, Ani X, Wulong Cha and Karagöz.

"You pay" shows our price and the size, with the strength (EDP is eau de parfum; extrait de parfum is stronger) and whether it is boxed or a tester. "Boutique price" is the price we compare the bottle with, and a tester is compared with the same boutique price as the boxed bottle. The Character column sums up each perfume's notes. It is not a wear test.
Hacivat or Hacivat X: which should I buy?
Buy Hacivat if you want the brighter, softer one. Buy Hacivat X if you want it greener and drier. Both open with pineapple and bergamot. Hacivat adds grapefruit, then jasmine, patchouli and cedar, and dries down to oakmoss and clean, dry woods. Our description calls it a fruity chypre that stays crisp rather than sweet.
Hacivat X keeps the pineapple and bergamot but adds pink pepper, then lime, Tunisian orange blossom and jasmine, on Haitian vetiver, patchouli and cedar. Our description says it is sharper and more structured than the first Hacivat, not simply stronger. Hacivat came out in 2017. Hacivat X is the 2023 rework by Julien Rasquinet.
Both cost the same with us: AED 660 for 100ml. The boutique prices differ, AED 1,250 for Hacivat and AED 1,500 for Hacivat X.
Skip Hacivat X if you find vetiver too dry or green. Skip Hacivat if you want more bite and less softness in the base.
Is Hacivat like Creed Aventus?
They are close cousins, not twins. Both lean on pineapple and bergamot, but Aventus has smoky birch in the base, and Hacivat has oakmoss and dry woods instead. So Aventus reads fruity and smoky, while Hacivat reads fruity and mossy, cleaner and more green.
The price gap is the bigger difference. A 100ml Hacivat costs AED 660 with us. A 100ml Aventus costs AED 1,260 boxed, AED 600 more, or AED 1,090 as a tester. Aventus came out in 2010 and is the one people know by name. If the smoke is what you love, buy Aventus. If you want the pineapple freshness and do not need the smoke, Hacivat costs about half.
We cover Aventus, Absolu Aventus and Aventus for Her in detail, with tester and boxed prices, in our Creed Aventus price guide.
Skip Hacivat if it has to be the smoky birch of Aventus. Skip Aventus if smoke is not for you.
Is Hacivat an extrait?
Yes. Our Hacivat is a 100ml extrait de parfum, the stronger concentration, so when people search for "Hacivat Extrait" this is the bottle. Hacivat X is also an extrait de parfum. Aventus is an eau de parfum. Our description says a few sprays of Hacivat are usually enough.
What is Hacivat Oud?
Hacivat Oud is a newer, darker take on Hacivat that adds oud, and searches for it in the UAE are up about 140% this year. We do not have it in stock today. Send us the name on WhatsApp and we will tell you the price and when we can deliver it. Until then, Karagöz is the closest bottle we have: it pairs pineapple and black grape with agarwood and amber in the base. Karagöz and Hacivat are both named after characters from Turkish shadow play.
Hacivat or Ani: which should I buy?
They are opposites. Hacivat is fresh and fruity for warm days. Ani is a warm vanilla for evenings and the cooler months. Ani opens with bergamot, blue ginger and pink pepper, moves into blackcurrant, Turkish rose and cardamom, and settles on vanilla, benzoin and sandalwood. Our description says the ginger keeps it from turning sugary.
Ani X takes it further, with lemon, melon and cardamom at the start and green apple and lavender in the heart, before the same kind of vanilla and sandalwood base. We have Ani at AED 490 for 50ml and AED 660 for 100ml, and Ani X at AED 670 boxed or AED 610 as a tester.
Skip Ani if you want something for daytime in the heat.
Hacivat or Wulong Cha for the UAE heat?
Both suit warm weather, but Wulong Cha is lighter. It is a bright tea scent: bergamot, orange and mandarin over oolong tea, on soft fig and musk. Our description compares it to iced tea with lemon. Hacivat has more body from the patchouli and oakmoss. Of the three main bottles on this page, Hacivat and Hacivat X are the best for the heat. Aventus works in most seasons, and Ani and Karagöz are better saved for evenings and the cooler months from November to March.
Tester or boxed: which should I pick?
A tester is the same perfume in the brand's own tester box, new, unused and unsprayed. Only the box differs. Of these bottles, Aventus and Ani X are the ones we have as testers today: Aventus at AED 1,090, AED 170 less than boxed, and Ani X at AED 610, AED 60 less. Hacivat and Hacivat X come boxed only. If it is a gift, the boxed bottle is the better choice. More in tester vs boxed perfume.
How do I know my bottle is real?
Every bottle is checked before it ships, and its batch code is left readable so you can check it with the house yourself. If a bottle is not genuine, we collect it free and refund every dirham, and you will not need to prove it. To check a bottle yourself, read how to check if a perfume is original.
