About this perfume
Black Musk by Montale opens with black pepper, nutmeg, clove and saffron, so the first impression is dry and spicy. Orris, patchouli and leather sit in the middle. The base is musk with guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber, which keeps it dark and smooth. This perfume reads as a leathery, spiced musk rather than a soft, clean one. The mood is bold and a little smoky. As an Eau de Parfum built on spice and leather, it tends to suit cooler months and evenings out. It is unisex and fits anyone who enjoys darker scents. Pierre Montale created Black Musk, and it launched in 2010.
