Erba Pura Magica keeps the citrus and fruit at the start, then turns warmer with balsamic notes, orris, amber and caramel. Our description suggests it for cooler days and evenings with friends. Erba Leather pairs passion fruit with leather, and our description says each side keeps the other in check. Choose Erba Pura for the bright original, Magica for a sweeter and cosier take, and Erba Leather if you want fruit with an edge.

Is Vibrato like Erba Pura?

Not really. Vibrato is a fresh citrus with a woody base, while Erba Pura is fruit and vanilla. Vibrato opens with grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin, ginger and a green touch of rosemary, softens with magnolia and rose, and settles on sandalwood, vetiver, musk and a little tonka.

It is from Sospiro's Classica collection and came out in 2022. Our description suggests it for daytime, warm weather and the office, and says the woody base carries it into the evening. It costs AED 730 for 100ml, against a boutique price of AED 1,255.

Skip it if you want something sweet. Vibrato has the least sugar of the bottles on this page.

Accento or Accento Viola: are they the same?

They are very close on paper. Xerjoff's Accento and Sospiro's Accento Viola both list pineapple and hyacinth at the top, iris, jasmine and pink pepper in the heart, and musk, patchouli, amber, vetiver and vanilla in the base. We have not compared them side by side on skin, so we cannot tell you how different they smell.

The practical difference is the offer. Accento comes as a 50ml at AED 520, a 100ml at AED 650 and a 100ml tester at AED 520. Accento Viola comes as a 100ml at AED 650.

Which one works best in the UAE heat?
