The Spirit of Dubai is a perfume line from Nabeel Perfumes. It is the vision of Nabeel's chairman, the master perfumer Asghar Adam Ali (Al Attar). Each fragrance captures one side of the city, from the sea and the desert to its heritage and the Arabian horse. The house puts the city's name first, so Bahar is Dubai Bahar.
The generations, in plain words
- First Generation: the original niche collection, where each scent stands for one part of Dubai. The bottles at AZ & CO all come from this line.
- Second Generation: an ultra-niche follow-up that builds on the same city themes.
The Spirit of Dubai bottles at AZ & CO
- Bahar: the sea. The house calls it aquatic-woody, with lime, lemon and marine notes over rose, jasmine, amber and vanilla.
- Meydan: the Arabian stallion. Grapefruit and bergamot, then tobacco, agarwood and cedar, on leather and vetiver.
- Turath: heritage, from the Mu'allaqat poems to the Thousand and One Nights. Bergamot, Damask rose and jasmine with patchouli, leather and ambergris.
- Fakhama: luxury. Turkish and Bulgarian rose with oud and vanilla, over amber, incense and leather.
- Sama: the sky. Apricot and Turkish rose, an osmanthus heart, then oud and dry amber.
Is The Spirit of Dubai sold as testers at AZ & CO?
No. Each one comes as the full 50ml Eau de Parfum in its presentation box. If testers are ever added, they will show as a separate option, explained in our tester vs boxed guide.
