Nasomatto
Nasomatto is a niche house whose perfumes are made by Alessandro Gualtieri. Black Afgano is the dark one, with cannabis, resins, tobacco and oud, and Silver Musk pairs bergamot with musk and sandalwood. Black Afgano and Nudiflorum also come as testers: the same perfume in the brand's own tester box, new, unused and unsprayed. About Nasomatto
Nasomatto is a niche perfume house, and Alessandro Gualtieri is the perfumer behind the range. Fragrantica lists its earliest edition as 2008, with Black Afgano following in 2009. In a note on that page, Gualtieri says he lets the process guide him and wants each perfume to have an intelligence of its own. Every bottle we list is a 30ml Extrait de Parfum.
Where to start at AZ & CO
- Black Afgano: cannabis, green notes, davana, saffron and thyme, then resins, woody notes, tobacco and coffee, over oud, incense, amber and guaiac wood.
- Blamage: birch, leather, white woods and musk, with a dry, faintly smoky edge from the birch.
- Silver Musk: bergamot, lemon and thyme, then lily of the valley and neroli, over musk, sandalwood, guaiac wood and leather.
- Pardon: magnolia, then dark chocolate, tonka bean and cinnamon, over agarwood (oud) and sandalwood.

Which Nasomatto perfume is the quiet one?
Silver Musk. It opens on bergamot, lemon and thyme, moves to lily of the valley and neroli, and rests on musk and sandalwood. Pardon is the sweet one, with dark chocolate, tonka bean and cinnamon, and Black Afgano is the darkest, with tobacco, oud and incense.
