Its Iconics include Irish Leather and African Leather, from the Cuirs Nomades leathers, and Marfa. Every bottle is checked before it ships, with its batch code left readable. About Memo Paris
Memo Paris (ميمو باريس) was founded in Paris in 2007 by Clara Molloy, a Parisian poet of Catalan origin, and her husband John, an Irish globe-trotter. The house calls its perfumes "Travel Notes": each one is meant to hold the memory of a journey, and most are named after a place.
The collections, decoded
- Cuirs Nomades: the leather collection, including Irish Leather, African Leather, Indian Leather, Ocean Leather and Eau de Memo.
- Fleurs Bohèmes: the floral collection, with Marfa (tuberose) and Argentina (rose and jasmine).
- Graines Vagabondes: a botanical collection inspired by seeds, with fruity and aromatic scents such as Corfu.
Where to start at AZ & CO
Irish Leather nods to John Molloy's Irish roots: pink pepper and juniper, green maté, then leather, cedar and vetiver. African Leather is cardamom, saffron and cumin over leather, oud and vetiver. Marfa, named after the art town in West Texas, is tuberose, ylang-ylang and agave over vanilla and sandalwood. All three are in the house's own Iconics.
Why are so many Memo perfumes called Leather?
They belong to Cuirs Nomades, French for nomad leathers. Each one sets a leather accord in a different place, from the Irish countryside in Irish Leather to the Kenyan sun in African Leather.
How do I check a Memo Paris bottle is original?
