About this perfume
Vanille des Afriques Intensivo by Ormonde Jayne pairs two vanillas, Madagascan and bourbon, with soft orris butter. It opens bright and a little spicy with coriander seed, bergamot, carrot seed and pink pepper. The heart turns floral and powdery with orris, jasmine, magnolia and osmanthus, before cedar, vetiver, amber and musk settle under the vanilla. The mood is radiant and calm, like a warm evening at sunset. It is a powdery, grown-up vanilla perfume rather than a sugary one. It suits men and women who like soft ambers, and it is best in the cooler months. It was launched in 2024 as part of the house's Intensivo line.
