About this perfume
Rose Noir by Byredo opens with grapefruit, freesia, red berries and a pinch of cardamom, bright and a little tart. The heart is a dark Damask rose with lily of the valley, raspberry, violet and jasmine, so the flower feels fruity and full rather than powdery. Moss, musk, labdanum and patchouli settle it into an earthy, slightly green finish. The mood is moody and grown up, a rose perfume with shadows in it. It suits men and women, and tends to work best in cooler weather and in the evening. Fragrantica lists it as a 2008 launch.
