Leather Malaki opens with black pepper and bergamot, a sharp, bright start with a spicy bite. Cedar and cypress make up the heart and add a dry, clean, woody backbone. The base is where the leather shows itself, joined by labdanum and amber for warmth, and by mineral notes that keep it cool and a little stony. Leather Malaki by Chopard is a dry, polished leather perfume with a smart, composed mood. The amber and labdanum take the hard edge off the leather. As an Eau de Parfum with pepper and wood in it, it tends to suit evenings, cooler weather and smarter dress, and anyone who wants leather that stays tidy.
