About this perfume
Not every oud starts dark. Imperial Oud opens on rosewood, lavender and angelica, with a smoky thread of birch running through. Geranium, rose, freesia and jasmine follow, keeping the middle floral and fairly clean. The base is the deep part: oud with guaiac wood, labdanum, patchouli and frankincense, plus leather, amber, sandalwood, cypriol and musk. It is a layered, smoky woody perfume that suits winter evenings and formal settings. It should appeal to anyone who wants oud with an aromatic, herbal start rather than a heavy one. Christian Provenzano created it for Boadicea the Victorious, and it launched in 2012.
