Opera opens plush and jammy, with fruity notes and Turkish rose. Nutmeg, ylang-ylang, ambergris and leather deepen the heart, adding spice and a darker, warmer feel. The base of patchouli, vanilla, musk, vetiver and Virginian cedar leaves it dark and woody. Opera by Sospiro Perfumes is a 2014 oriental floral by Chris Maurice. Rose and leather sit over a base of vanilla and musk, so it reads rich and full rather than light. The floral opening does not make it feminine only, and it suits anyone who likes a deep, dressy scent. With this much depth, it tends to suit autumn and winter evenings.
