About this perfume
Complex by Boadicea the Victorious is a dense, smoky leather perfume. Sage and basil give it a green, herbal opening, then violet and incense lead into a dark, resinous heart. Leather, oud, olibanum and musk build the base, rich and long lasting. It is bold and polarising, a perfume for people who already love leather and incense rather than a safe first choice. It suits cooler weather and evenings, and a single spray is plenty. This is the original Complex, which the house later reworked as Complex 2020. Fragrantica credits the perfumer John Stephen.
