About this perfume
Charon's Vail opens on a deep, dark rose. Oud and patchouli soon close in around it, earthy and a little smoky, while sandalwood and Atlas cedar add a dry, creamy wood. As it settles, saffron and cistus labdanum take over, warm and resinous with a faintly leathery edge, so the rose ends up wrapped in a glowing, amber-like warmth. Charon's Vail by Argos is an oud and rose perfume with a dark, quiet mood, more candlelit than bright. The woods and resins keep the rose from feeling sweet or pretty. It is unisex and suits the cooler months best, for winter evenings, formal dinners and any night that calls for a serious scent. Tester: the same fragrance and the same bottle, in the brand's own tester box. New, unused and unsprayed.
