About Dolce & Gabbana
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana founded Dolce & Gabbana (دولتشي أند غابانا) in 1985. Its perfumes were once made under licence; since 2022 the company has run its beauty and fragrance business itself. Light Blue, created by Olivier Cresp, came out in 2001.
The lines, decoded
- Light Blue: Sicilian lemon, apple and bellflower over bamboo, jasmine and cedar, for women. Light Blue pour Homme, by Alberto Morillas in 2007, is grapefruit, juniper and rosemary over incense and oakmoss.
- The One: the warm line. The women's Eau de Parfum is peach, lychee and plum over vanilla and amber; The One Gold Eau de Parfum Intense adds pink pepper and patchouli.
- Devotion: the gourmand family. Devotion is candied lemon and panna cotta over vanilla. My Devotion Intense (2025) and Your Devotion Intense (2026), both by Olivier Cresp, bring pear blossom and melon. Devotion Pour Homme adds coffee for men.
- Velvet Collection: Velvet Desert Oud, by Alberto Morillas, is tobacco and incense over saffron, leather and oud.

Which Dolce & Gabbana is best for summer in the UAE?
The Light Blue pair, going by the notes: lemon, apple and bamboo for her, grapefruit, juniper and rosemary for him. L'Impératrice is another bright one, with kiwi, rhubarb and watermelon. The Devotion and The One bottles are sweeter and warmer, so they suit the cooler months.
