About Bvlgari
Sotirios Voulgaris, a silversmith, started the company in Rome in 1884, and Bvlgari grew into a house known for jewellery, watches and fragrance. The name is written with a V instead of a U in reference to ancient Rome. Bvlgari has been part of LVMH since 2011.
The lines, decoded
- Le Gemme: perfumes inspired by gemstones. Falkar is named for the falcon's eye stone and runs nutmeg and cinnamon into oud. Gyan, from the Sanskrit word for wisdom, is myrrh and oud. Onekh honours black onyx with oud, labdanum and incense.
- Bvlgari Man: the men's line. Man Glacial Essence is juniper, ginger and geranium; Man Terrae Essence is citron and calamansi over vetiver and orris.
- Aqva Pour Homme: Jacques Cavallier Belletrud's 2005 marine scent, with mandarin and posidonia seaweed over cedar.
- Omnia: Omnia Crystalline is a light floral of bamboo, pear, lotus and tea.
