Thomas Burberry, a former draper's apprentice, founded Burberry in Basingstoke in 1856 and introduced gabardine in 1879. Her opens with crushed berries, and Hero Elixir de Parfum is tonka, vanilla, leather and cedarwood. A few bottles are testers: the same perfume in the brand's own tester box, new, unused and unsprayed. Each bottle is checked before it ships, with its batch code left readable and a refund if it is not genuine.

About Burberry
Thomas Burberry, a former draper's apprentice, founded Burberry in Basingstoke, Hampshire, in 1856. The house introduced gabardine in 1879, and it is now headquartered in London. The fragrances here range from the fruity Her to the tonka and leather of Hero Elixir de Parfum.
Where to start at AZ & CO
- Her: strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant, then violet and jasmine, over amber, musk and woody notes.
- Brit for Her: green almond, lime and pear, then almond, sugar and peony, over vanilla, mahogany and amber. It comes as an Eau de Toilette and an Eau de Parfum.
- Burberry for Men: mint, lavender, bergamot and thyme, then cedar, sandalwood and oakmoss, over musk, vanilla and amber.

What is the difference between Her and Her Intense?
Her is a crush of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant, with violet and jasmine over amber and musk. Her Intense is simpler: wild strawberry, orange blossom and an ambroxan base.
