Azzaro pour Homme opens with lavender, lemon, bergamot and basil, sharpened by clary sage, caraway and star anise. The heart is vetiver, cedar and sandalwood, dry and woody. Oakmoss, leather, amber and tonka bean give it a warm, rounded base. This is a classic aromatic fougère perfume with a clean, barbershop mood, the kind of scent that smells groomed and confident. It works for the office, daytime and evenings in most seasons, and it suits men who like lavender and woods with a little spice. Fragrantica lists it as a 1978 launch by Gérard Anthony and Richard Wirtz.
