Fôm

A winter evening in front of the fireplace — wood crackling, a barrel-aged rhum or scotch going down slowly. Birch tar, elemi and labdanum throw off real heat, and the boozy undertone sits on the skin like a blanket over the shoulders. As it settles the smoke softens and a gourmand heart surfaces: caramel, gentle but never thin, keeping that velvet quality that makes the whole thing magnetic. An atmosphere more than a fragrance.
