Blue Cypress is built around Australian blue cypress oil, with lavender, patchouli, clove and star anise around it. The cypress has a cool, resinous woodiness with a faint smoky edge. Lavender brings a clean, herbal freshness, while patchouli adds an earthy depth. Clove and star anise give a light, dry spice that keeps the woods from feeling flat. Blue Cypress by Goldfield & Banks is a fresh woody aromatic perfume, the work of François Merle-Baudoin. It feels crisp and calm, more like cool morning air in a forest than a sweet scent.
