Christine Nagel's first chypre for Hermès, named after the signature calf leather used in Hermès saddlery and handbags. Barénia opens with miracle berry and bergamot — a juicy, tart sweetness — before white ginger lily blooms over a backbone of patchouli, oakwood, and akigalawood. Cool and mossy at first, it warms into something soft, buttery, and suede-like. A skin perfume, revealing itself only on contact — a modern chypre with old-money sophistication.
